Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he and his family had all contracted Covid-19.
The former wrestler, who is now the world's highest-paid actor, said he, his wife and two daughters caught the virus despite being "disciplined" about health protection.
He said the positive tests were "a kick in the gut".
Now, he added: "We're on the other end of it and no longer contagious. Thank God, we're healthy."
Johnson, 48, said he. his wife Lauren, 35, and their daughters Jasmine and Tiana, aged four and two, contracted the virus about two-and-a-half weeks ago.
They caught it from "very close family friends" who, in turn, had no idea how they had been infected.
"I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family," Johnson said in a video posted on his Instagram account.
"Testing positive for Covid-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries, or being evicted or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times," he added.
"My number one priority is to always protect my family."
"We are counting our blessings right now because we're well aware that it isn't always the case that you get on the other end of Covid-19 stronger and healthier," said Johnson.
"It baffles me that some people out there, including some politicians, will take this idea of wearing masks and make it part of a political agenda.
"It has nothing to do with politics. Wear your mask. It is a fact. And it is the right thing to do."
A 35-year-old casual labourer was on Monday stoned to death for allegedly attempting to defile a three-year-old girl at Kambe market area in Ting’ang’a location of Kiambu Sub-county, Kenya.
The victim, Michael Karimi Kai, died at the scene following the beating by members of the public who responded to a distress call from the mother of the minor.
Armed with crude weapons including logs, sticks and stones, the public descended on the suspect who was caught red-handed with the child in his house at about 9am.
An eyewitness told KNA that the mother of the child after realizing that her child was not with her playmates started looking for her in the neighbours’ houses.
With assistance from her neighbours and friends, they knocked on the door of the suspect and found the child seated on the bed in the single-roomed rented house.
They raised alarm and curious members of the public responded and entered the house upon which they started beating him up after he failed to give a satisfactory explanation of what the minor was doing in his house while others were playing outside.
Ting’ang’a Assistant County Commissioner Caleb Nyongesa confirmed to KNA that the suspect had been beaten up following the allegations.
He, however, warned the public against taking the law in their hands by punishing suspects without involving law enforcement officers, saying this was unlawful.
“Unfortunately, it is true, the man was beaten up and he succumbed to the injuries before the assistant chief could reach the scene otherwise we could have saved him and handed him over to the police to carry out their investigations,” Mr. Nyongesa told KNA on phone.
The man’s body was taken to Kiambu Level V Hospital as investigations into the incident continue.
India banned 118 more Chinese apps in a stepped-up backlash over an increasingly bitter border showdown between the giant neighbours.
The Information Technology Ministry said the apps including the mobile version of the popular video game PUBG and other services provided by China internet giant Tencent promoted activities “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order”.
India and China have been embroiled in a series of deadly clashes and showdowns on their Himalayan border in recent weeks.
In June, 20 Indian soldiers were killed in hand-to-hand combat in the Ladakh region of the border. An Indian special forces member was killed in one of two incidents at the weekend.
China has also suffered casualties but has not given figures.
India had already banned 59 Chinese apps — including the video-sharing platform TikTok — after the June battle.
The PUBG mobile phone app has millions of young users in India.
Other apps closed down include games, online payment services, dating sites and even software to edit selfies.
PUBG was developed by a South Korean company, but the mobile version that has taken off around the world was developed by Tencent.
The IT ministry accused the apps of stealing user data.
The “mining and profiling by elements hostile to national security and defence of India, which ultimately impinges upon the sovereignty and integrity of India, is a matter of very deep and immediate concern which requires emergency measures”, it said.
Loverboy Kiddwaya has told Erica he is yet to make up his mind about her and where he can probably place her in his life.
Last night, the two talked about their emotions and feelings where Erica pointed out to him some areas he falls short in their relationship. According to her Kiddwaya doesn’t show much of himself to her neither does he speak of the life they could have together outside the house.
Though Kiddwaya assured her she will see more of him but she doubts because he never talks about them. He replied to her saying it is not in his nature to show her more of him because he hasn’t made up his mind about her yet.
Masses of North Korean soldiers have been spotted practicing for a major military showcase - despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Satellite images released by a US think tank show formations of troops and vehicles at the Mirim Parade Training Ground in the capital Pyongyang.
"North Korea has been widely expected to hold a major military parade on October 10 this year," the worrying 38 North report said.
"These images provide the first evidence that rehearsals are underway."
The news comes even though it's been reported Kim Jong-un's kingdom is secretly in the grip of a Covid-19 outbreak.
The true extent to which the virus has spread within the state is not known, but it has closed its borders and implemented strict lockdown measures.
It was even reported that troops have been ordered to shoot anyone seen straying near the border with China.
The terrifying order apparently came after dictator Kim claimed North Korea is free of the killer virus and insisted he wasn’t worried.
And it appears Kim is not going to cancel his country's annual display of military might - even thought it regularly attracts huge crowds to the capital.
The Mirim facility is often used by troops practicing the demanding marching style featured in North Korea's extravagant parades.
The huge displays - which also feature tanks, missiles and armoured trucks - usually take place in Pyongyang's Kim Il-sung Square.
They are held in front of powerful state dignitaries including 'Glorious Leader' Kim himself.
The parades are timed to mark the anniversary of the formation of the Workers’ Party of Korea which is a huge public holiday.
However, preparations for the event appear to have been delayed possibly due to anti-pandemic measures or recent severe weather, 38 North said.
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny may have been poisoned by a tiny amount of toxin sprinkled in his underwear or socks, according to a retired scientist.
Vladimir Uglev, who claims to have developed the nerve agent Novichok, floated the alternative theory in an interview with Echo of Moscow radio and reported by the Daily Mail on Wednesday.
“They put this substance on his underwear, his underpants, socks, or his undershirt, and that was it,” Uglev said.
Supporters of Navalny, 44, believe he sipped spiked tea at an airport before falling ill on a flight from Siberia to Moscow, blaming the Kremlin for the attack.
But Uglev suggested he may have been poisoned before he got to the airport.
“In the morning Alexei woke up, showered, got dressed and went to the airport,” he said. “And since the substance acts slower via the skin than say through the digestive system, time passed [before it had an impact].”
Uglev said just a tiny amount of toxin would have been enough to sicken the dissident, one of President Vladimir Putin’s fiercest critics.
“Speaking about the quantity of the poison that was needed, it’s 1 to 2 milligrams or approximately a 1/30 of a water drop,” the nerve agent expert said. “This is enough to poison a healthy man to death.”
But Uglev said it wouldn’t be possible that Navalny was poisoned with Novichok specifically the substance used to poison turncoat Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in 2018 because more people would’ve been sickened.

Former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has taken American citizenship.
This is coming after more than 30 years after the former two-time minister studied in the United States.
Bloomberg reports that Okonjo-Iweala actually took US citizenship in 2019 as she fought for the position of the director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
According to Bloomberg, most of the candidates battling for the position with the Nigerian boast of dual citizenship, which experts believe may boost their chances at getting the much-coveted job.
The other candidates for the position, such as Jesús Seade Kuri, is Mexican and Lebanese.
Also, Amina Mohamed, a Kenyan minister, is also Somali and Abdel-Hamid Mamdouh is both Swiss and Egyptian.
Nigeria’s former finance minister worked in the US for well over 25 years without taking up its citizenship.
However, this affected her when she ran for the president of the World Bank in 2012 because she was not backed by the US, losing the seat to Korean-American Jim Yong Kim.
Twitter is currently agog with Nigerians calling out and insulting President Muhammadu Buhari following the increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) and the hike in electricity tariff to N66 per kwh.
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) set a pump price of N162 for petrol in the south-west region.
This followed the increase of the ex-depot price for the product by the Petroleum Products Marketing Company, a subsidiary of NNPC. The price was increased from N138 to N151.
Electricity distribution companies (DisCos) across the country also began on 1 September the implementation of a new electricity tariff regime of N66 per kwh.
However, the moves have led a great number of aggrieved Nigerians to start dragging the President on Twitter, describing those moves as cruel and callous.
See some tweets ;
They Doubled the Electricity Tariff and increased fuel / petrol price too.
Either ways, Nigerians must suffer.
Sai baba .. sai Buhari . Sai Next level .
Or do we wait until the Petrol Pump price hits N200?
Will Donjazzy be singing DoroBucci or Doro Buhari?
— President One.acre says Free Dadiyata (@NekkaSmith) September 2, 2020
The Buhari regime is a plague on Nigerians. The primary aim of this regime is to kill, steal and destroy. Only a monstrous regime will increase fuel price & electricity tariff during this pandemic. Citizens are suffering while Buhari & his cronies live in opulence. Wicked tyrant.
Fuel price has been increased but the cowards will not dare call out the incompetent, clueless, corrupt, inept & failure #ICCIF Rtd Major General Buhari @MBuhari who is also the Minister of Petroleum but they will focus on Ojota activists and those who voted GEJ in 2015#Cowardspic.twitter.com/pZ8H2t5rPo
The people who were jumping up & down in Ojota with us under GEJ when Petrol was N86 are now buying for N151 without complain. Fear will not even allow them try the things they did against Jonathan to Buhari.
Controversial US-based physician, Dr Stella Immanuel, is rejoicing over the dismissal of the complaints against her following her claim that hydroxychloroquine can cure COVID-19 by the Texas Medical Board.
Dr Immanuel announced that she has been cleared of the allegation in a post on her Facebook page on Wednesday
She also attached the letter of clearance from the Texas Medical Board which she asked her haters to “read and weep.”
She said, ”Texas medical board dismisses the complaint against me. The haters have been defeated and God has shown Himself as my protector and defender. God bless TMB, God bless Texas, God bless America. Good will win. American will win. Haters read and weep.”
In the letter, the Board indicated that the investigation was dismissed because there was insufficient evidence to prove that she violated Medical Practices Act.
“As such, this complaint has been dismissed without prejudice. No further action will be taken concerning this complaint,” the Board said in the letter.
Immanuel had early August through a tweet announced that the Texas Medical Board had opened an investigation into her claim that the anti-malaria drug can cure COVID-19.
This followed an early warning by the Board that it will take action against any complaint about false, misleading or deceptive advertising for COVID-19 cure under its standard enforcement process.
In the tweet confirming that the Board has begun investigating her, the Huston based doctor had also solicited for donations to fund her legal efforts.
Immanuel attracted global attention in July 2020 when a video of her touting hydroxychloroquine as a cure for Covid-19 went viral taken in company of other medical doctors went viral.

A pregnant woman was found dead with her baby cut out of her body after allegedly being lured by an old school friend to a fake baby shower.
The woman has been identified locally as Flavia Godinho Mafra and was believed to be 36 weeks pregnant when she died in Canelinha, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
According to NSC Total, the partner of her school friend admitted using a brick to kill her after luring her to the murder scene on the pretence of a baby shower.
The detective responsible for the case, Paulo Alexandre Freyesleben e Silva, confirmed the cause of death of the 24-year-old victim was a sharp cut to the abdomen and wounds from a brick, G1 newspaper reported.
The body was reportedly found by the victim's husband and mother at around 9 am on August 28.
It had been dumped in an abandoned pottery yard with the baby missing.
Police later learned the baby had been taken to hospital by the suspect and her husband, who were both arrested.
The arrested woman, who was an old school friend of the victim, reportedly told the police officer she had lost a child due to a miscarriage in January and had become obsessed with stealing a child.
The baby girl remains in hospital where she has been given antibiotics and pain medication for the injuries sustained when she was allegedly ripped from her mother's belly.
The autopsy will confirm if the baby was removed while her mother was alive or if she was already dead.
Flavia, who studied pedagogy and worked as a substitute teacher, was buried in the Municipal Cemetery of Canelinha after a brief ceremony.
A nurse who claims she's addicted to plastic surgery has spent an estimated £55,000 on treatments, including multiple boob jobs.
Tara Jayne McConachy, from Melbourne, Australia, is desperate for coronavirus travel restrictions to be lifted so she can fly out for more ops.
The 31-year-old has vowed to continue going under the knife to enhance and maintain her "plastic doll" appearance - with rib removal and eye colour change next on the cards.
Boasting a major Instagram following, Tara has also recently set up an OnlyFans account to fund further procedures, raking in over £5,000 in the first three days.+
She told the Daily Star: "I’ve had five breast augmentations – my most recent implant size is 1050cc, tip rhinoplasty, buttocks implants, veneers, botox and fillers.
"I don’t know the exact amount I’ve spent on surgery, but it’s easily in the vicinity of $100k."
The nurse often posts raunchy snaps on her Insta account, @tara_jayn3.
Tara was in Europe, having yet more surgery, when the coronavirus lockdowns began.
She continued: "I’m also exploring changing my eye colour to an even more vibrant green, plus fixing my eyelids with a canthoplasty, blepharoplasty and a brow lift.
"While I'm at it I'll probably be getting cheek implants, a mini facelift and I'm even looking into the possibility of having ribs removed for a more tapered waist."
Canthoplasty lifts and opens the outer section of the eye and blepharoplasty pulls up drooping eyelids.
She claims she made $10,000 (£5,496) in the first three days.
Without a doubt, Tara’s most shocking feature is her lips.
She said: "My lips are definitely my statement.
"I always make sure they’re nice and plump and get regular injections.
‘I’ve definitely lost count of how much product is in there!
"I’m finally happy with how they look so now it’s just all about maintenance."
Tara adds that she feels closer to 21 than 31.
She said: "I’m like a fine wine, I only get better with age.
The Department of State Services, DSS, has reportedly quizzed Music producer, Don Jazzy and singer Tiwa Savage over social media comments against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)
Tiwa Savage was reportedly invited by DSS for questioning alongside Don Jazzy at their Lagos office.
