Spokesman of the police command, SP Abdu Jinjiri confirmed the incident to DAILY POST in Dutse.

He said the incident occurred on Saturday September 5, 2020 around 7:00 p.m.

Jinjiri explained that the clash started as a result of little misunderstanding over football match played between villages of Kawaye and Gurungu in Dutse Local Government area.

He said as a result, a 30-year-old Abdulmumin Yusuf of Kawaye village was beaten and stabbed to death with a horn, while a 40-year-old Malam Ubale of Gurungu village was seriously injured.

The police spokesman said officers of the safer highways patrol team rushed to the scene and the corpse was taken to general hospital, and was confirmed dead, while the injured person was admitted.

BBNaija 2020: Three house rules Erica broke which could lead to her disqualification

Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica on Saturday, broke three house rules of the ‘Lockdown’ edition.

The 26-year-old Abia-born housemate broke the rules after the Saturday night party.

Erica rained abuses at Laycon and other housemates who refused to support her after approaching Laycon to clarify his statement that she tried to kiss him severally.

Still burning in anger after Laycon refused to prove beyond reasonable doubt that she tried to kiss him, Erica lashed out at him and Prince.

She went ahead and broke the following rules.

1. Erica threatened to kill Laycon outside the house.

2. She also poured water on the Head of House (HoH) bed in order to stop Prince who is her deputy from sharing the lounge with her.

3. She also used the word ‘vote’ while discussing with Kiddwaya. She had said she hoped that the viewers vote out Laycon because he is manipulative.

The above offences contravenes Biggie’s rules, which stipulates that both Head of House and their deputies must sleep on the same bed for the week.

Threatening to kill Laycon and claiming she will do anything in her power to make sure Laycon suffers in life contravenes the house rules which state that “housemates should never threaten, intimidate or act violently towards each other.”

Also, using the word ‘vote’ is against the warning issued by Biggie last week which states that housemates must not canvass for vote in the house.

He, equally banned the words ‘vote and fans.’

Erica who could be disqualified for these acts admitted that she is ready for any consequence.

Tunisia knife attack kills officer, 3 ‘terrorists’ shot dead

Attackers with knives killed a Tunisian National Guard officer and wounded another  on Sunday before three assailants were shot dead, the National Guard said, labelling it a “terrorist attack”.

The attack took place in the tourist city of Sousse, the site of the worst of several jihadist attacks in recent years, where 38 people, most of them Britons, were killed in a 2015 beachside shooting.

“A patrol of two National Guard officers was attacked with a knife in the centre of Sousse,” 140 kilometres (80 miles) south of the capital Tunis, said National Guard spokesman Houcem Eddine Jebali.

“One died as a martyr and the other was wounded and is hospitalised,” he said, adding that “this was a terrorist attack”.

Security forces pursued the assailants, who had taken the officers’ guns and vehicle, through the city’s tourist area of El-Kantaoui, said Jebali, adding that “in a firefight three terrorists were killed”.

Trump says all African nations ‘complete toilets’ in new book by Cohen

In a new book out this week, U.S. President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, alleges that Trump regarded all African countries and nations run by black people as “complete toilets”.

The book also said Trump made disparaging remarks about Black world leaders including former South African President Nelson Mandela after he died.

In the book, Cohen alleges that Trump described Mandela as a poor leader and disparaged U.S. minorities in general, the Washington Post has reported.

According to the newspaper, which has a copy of the book, Cohen wrote that following Mandela’s death in 2013, Trump said: “Mandela f—-ed the whole country up. Now it’s a s—-hole. F—- Mandela. He was no leader.”

Cohen also alleges that Trump said: “Tell me one country run by a black person that isn’t a s—-hole. They are all complete f—-ing toilets.”

Trump was previously linked with making denigrating comments about African countries.

In January 2018, during a discussion with lawmakers at the White House regarding immigrants, Trump reportedly exhibited frustration over protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador, and African countries.

At the time, he allegedly said, “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” This alleged comment generated outrage across the US and wider world.

Trump never denied he said so, when President Muhammadu Buhari visited him in Washington.

“We didn’t discuss it. But you do have some countries that are in very bad shape,” he said at a joint press conference with Buhari.

However on Saturday White House Spokeswoman Kayleigh McEnany attacked Cohen’s credibility.

“Michael Cohen is a disgraced felon and disbarred lawyer, who lied to Congress. He has lost all credibility, and it’s unsurprising to see his latest attempt to profit off of lies,” McEnany said in a statement.

Trump has called Cohen “a rat,” and a liar, and Cohen has said he faced repeated death threats from Trump supporters.

Trump, a Republican, is seeking re-election and will face Democrat Joe Biden at the polls on Nov. 3.

At the Republican convention in August where Trump was formally nominated to appear on the ballot, speakers defended Trump against past accusations of racism.

Cohen alleged that Trump was dismissive of minorities, and that Trump said during his 2016 presidential campaign that he would not win the Hispanic vote, the Washington Post reported. According to Cohen, Trump said: “Like the blacks, they’re too stupid to vote for Trump.”

Cohen is serving time for tax evasion, false statements and campaign finance violations, the last related to payments to silence women who alleged affairs with Trump before the 2016 presidential election.

He was released to home confinement in May given the risks of catching COVID-19 in prison, but then was briefly imprisoned again in July. A federal judge then ruled Cohen had been subjected to retaliation for planning to publish his book, and ordered him released again

Cohen worked closely with Trump for years before turning against him, most publicly in testimony to Congress last year prior to Trump’s impeachment.

Now Cohen is serving a three-year sentence for, among other things, making false statements to Congress.

CBN seizes accounts of Baba Ijebu’s Premier Lotto, 37 others

The Central Bank of Nigeria has ordered banks to freeze the accounts of 38 Nigerian companies, including Premier Lotto, owned by bussinessman Kessington Adebutu, a.k.a Baba Ijebu.

According to a circular of 4 September, Bello Hassan, CBN’s Director of Banking Supervision, asked banks to place the accounts of the 38 companies on Post-No-Debit (PND) order

“You are hereby required to place the under listed accounts on Post-No-Debit with immediate effect and revert with the account names, numbers, currencies and balances of all accounts placed on PND.

“Note that only the listed entities should be placed on PND, all related accounts are excluded. Your response should be forwarded to the underlisted email addresses Osoladipo@cbn.gov.ng or moabeng@cbn.gov.ng,” part of the circular read.

Some of the affected companies are 3D Scanners Bureau De Change Limited, Blue Wall Nigeria Limited, JNFX International Limited and Northline Limited.

Others are SV Gaming Limited, R&S Lotto Limited, TM Gaming Networks Limited, Escale Oil and Gas Limited, Barkoli Trading Company Limited, Godoni Enterprises Limited.

This is the second time the authorities will beam the searchlight on Premier Lotto.

The company, along with KC Gaming, a.k.a Bet9Ja was probed early this year by the EFCC for tax evasion.

After the probe, the two companies paid N1billion into the treasury.

A breakdown of the payments shows that Premier Lotto (Baba Ijebu) remitted N833,333,494.58, while KC Gaming (Bet9ja) remitted N166,666,827.92.

According to the EFCC, the N1 billion was the arrears of debt the lotto companies owed the Nigerian treasury.

They were supposed to remit 20 per cent of their turnover to government through National Lottery Trust Fund, NLTF as required by law.

Doctors pull 4ft snake from woman’s throat after it slithered in while she was asleep

This is the shocking moment a 4ft long snake is removed from a woman’s mouth. The creature had reportedly slithered into her throat as she slept in her garden in Levashi, a village in Dagestan, southern Russia.

Feeling unwell, the young woman was rushed to hospital where she was put to sleep. In this disturbing footage, a doctor is heard saying ‘let’s see what this is’ before inserting a tube down her throat.

As he slowly pulls the snake out another medic grabs it, but then jumps back and screams as she realises just how long the snake is.

The snake is then dropped into a medical bucket. It’s unclear if the snake was alive or dead, or how long it was trapped inside the woman, Metro UK reported.

According to local reports, such incidents are unusual but older residents advise the young not to sleep outside in case a snake slithers inside their mouths.

Some commenters have claimed the creature could be a parasite or a giant worm but it appears too long for this. The Ministry of Health in Dagestan, a mountainous republic bordering the Caspian Sea, has not commented.

The woman patient was not identified, nor was the type of snake. The village of Levashi has a population of 11,500 and is at an altitude of 4,165 ft.

BBNaija 2020: Kiddwaya vows to keep fellow housemates in check, avoid diplomacy

Kiddwaya has warned fellow Big Brother Naija lockdown housemates that from next week he would be harsh on whoever remains in the house after the Sunday live eviction.

Kidd said this while responding to his lover, Erica who said “When you try to be diplomatic all the time, it does not work especially when you are living with them. You only get diplomatic when you’re not going to be seeing them.

The Benue-born then vowed to put fellow housemates in check if he survives evictions on Sunday.

“It sounds like I’m being so harsh but I’ll tell you the gospel truth, I’ll behave so differently to many of them.

“Next week whoever is here, I’ll check some people but for now let’s look for survival. ”

Recall that Kiddwaya had yesterday complained bitterly to Biggie that some housemates were disrespecting his lover, Erica, who is the current head of house in the reality show.

Mum finds human poo on Supermarket's shelf as she reaches for chicken nuggets

A mum was horrified to discover the packet of chicken nuggets she had just grabbed out of the freezer at Iceland supermarket was smeared in human poo.

Lynne McCabe, 35, only realised what had happened when she nonchalantly touched her face moments later and caught whiff of the ‘awful’ smell on her hand. She quickly told staff at the supermarket in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, what happened, but was left even more annoyed by their ‘terrible’ handling of the situation, which took place at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon.

Lynne told the Daily Record: ‘At first they laughed and then one was kind of heaving saying “that’s disgusting”. They let me use the staff room to clean my hands.

‘They did say sorry and gave me a box of Lindor chocolate balls as an apology. I mean come on, I’m covered in poo and they give me chocolate balls to say sorry?’

She claims staff told her the mishap occurred after an elderly woman ‘made a right mess’ in the store not long after saying she felt unwell and asking to use the toilet earlier in the day.

Lynne, from Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, added that they said they had tried to clean up, but described feeling ‘shocked they hadn’t closed the shop’.

She guessed the woman must have touched the packet after falling ill, adding: ‘What else did she touch in the shop? I don’t think they will have bothered to check.

‘The situation was handled terribly by staff. Who knows what kind of germs that person had and just it was lying there for hours before it was cleaned.’

Iceland told the newspaper they are aware of the situation, with a spokesperson confirming they are confident ‘all necessary measures were taken’.

They went on: ‘Upon being made aware of the incident, we immediately made plans to close our store for deep cleaning. This has now been completed and our store is open as normal.

‘We extend our apologies to the customer for the upset caused, and provided a gesture of goodwill in store.’

First international flight lands in Lagos

There was palpable joy on Saturday as the first international flight landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

This was coming after five months of closure of the Nigerian airspace due to the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The Middle East Airline (MEA), which took off from Beirut, Lebanon, made history as the first international flight to land anywhere in the country as it touched down at the MMIA at exactly 2.30 p.m.

The aircraft was ceremonially welcomed with a water cannon demonstration by the officials of the Aerodrome and Rescue Fire Fighters, a Department in the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Officials of FAAN, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Port Health Services (PHS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and other relevant agencies were on ground to attend to the passengers brought in by the airline.

On arrival at the terminal, passengers presented their documents, including COVID-19 PCR test results for screening by the Port Health Services officials, while their travelling papers, passports and visas were handled by the immigration officials at the airport.

However, there was no much work to be done by the officials on ground as the aircraft landed with just 200 passengers as approved by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

The passengers, comprised Nigerians and foreigners, conducted themselves orderly and went through the protocols as approved by the PTF.

At the arrival and departure halls of the airports, the arriving and departing passengers observed the social distancing protocols, just as it was being currently observed on the domestic routes.

Speaking on the procedures, Mr Abdullahi Usman, Comptroller, NIS, MMIA, said the process was seamless and passengers were cooperative while travelling documents were requested from them by the officials.

Usman explained that on arrival, Nigerians onboard need not to fill another travel card, saying that when necessary; the immigration service would give them the right form to fill.

He said: “As you can see, the passengers are coming in quantum, not in a mass.

“The control of the passengers start from the disembarkation of the aircraft and you can see it yourself how orderly things were done.

“The procedures remain the same. Social distancing is there. Nigerians have no need to fill another card.

“Once we have any other information to get from them, we will give them another card. We want to ensure seamless passengers clearance at the counters.”

Also, Mrs Victoria Shin-Aba, Regional Manager, South-West, FAAN, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and the management of FAAN for ensuring smooth return of flight services on the international scene.

42 persons rescued as Osun seals orphanage for illegality

The Proprietor of an Orphanage home in Ile-Ife, Mrs Elizabeth Oroyemi slumped as Osun State Government officials sealed the social facility over suspected illegal activities, including being used as baby factory.

The woman who was resuscitated begged the officials not to seal the property, located at Opa Area of the ancient town, being her only legacy of over 18 years.

However, the Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs, Mrs Bukola Olaboopo while stating the reason behind the closure said the factory’s operation constituted a danger to the well-being of the orphans residing therein.

She also said apart from not taking adequate care of the children at the orphanage, the environment where it operates is completely untidy while those working there lack the adequate knowledge to so do.

According to her, “we suspected that the facility is used for activities such as baby factory which is completely unacceptable to Osun State Government. And the operator had earlier been given the opportunity to address the shortcomings observed by a committee set up about five years ago, though she moved to a new facility, the activities in the facility is still the same.

“The social workers working in the facility are unprofessional, the environment where it is operating is totally untidy, while most children in her care were malnourished and exceeded the number approved by the Child Right Law 2013 of the State among others”.

She disclosed that 42 persons were evacuated from the facility, comprising of 24 toddlers, three adults, and those with physical disabilities.

She added that the move became imperative to give the children the best education, nutritious meals required for Healthy growth and proper shelter by the State Government.

“All the evacuees were given food and other confectionaries before they were relocated in batches to various standard orphanage centres across the State for best care”, she said.

Olaboopo while urging orphanage operators in the state to ensure they fulfil the statutory obligations and operate within the ambit of the law, she disclosed closing the facility would deter others from operating against the existing laws.

BBNaija 2020: Why I was aggressive in relationship with Prince – Tolanibaj

Tolanibaj, an evicted Big Brother Naija lockdown housemate, has revealed why she was aggressive in her relationship with Prince while in the house.

Tolanbaj and Prince, who were couples in the house ended their relationship last week before her eviction

Tolanibaj said her aggressive approach was to serve as a warning to Prince who was not doing enough to keep their relationship running.

Tolanibaj had complained severally about Prince not openly showing his feelings for her.

She had complained of not being happy with him and ended their relationship, one week before her eviction.

Speaking during a media tour, Tolanibaj said “With the whole aggressiveness it was just to wake him up because even as I was aggressive I was like ‘guy wake up because I can end it at any moment.’

“I’ve had relationships where I had to warn a guy first and second and I was like when I’m gone I’m gone. When I say ‘no’ then it is over. For Prince, I wanted to warn him three times.

Messi reveals what his whole family did when he told them he wanted to leave Barcelona

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, has revealed that his whole family began crying when he told them he wanted to leave the Camp Nou club this summer.

The Argentine captain explained that it was a brutal drama, adding that his children didn’t want to leave Barcelona because they did not want to change schools.

Messi, on Friday evening, confirmed that he had changed his mind and will remain a Barcelona player for the 2020/21 season.

This comes after ten days of intense speculation, triggered by the Argentine’s fax to Barcelona, asking for his contract to be terminated.

Messi told Goal: “When I communicated my wish to leave to my wife and children, it was a brutal drama.

“The whole family began crying; my children didn’t want to leave Barcelona, nor did they want to change schools.

“My son, my family, they grew up here and are from here. There was nothing wrong with wanting to leave.

“I needed it, the club needed it, and it was good for everyone.

“My wife, with all the pain of her soul, supported and accompanied me.

“Mateo is still little, and he does not realise what it means to go somewhere else and make your life a few years elsewhere.

“Thiago, he is older. He heard something on TV and found out something and asked.

“I did not want him to know anything about being forced to leave, to have to live in a new school or make new friends.

“He cried to me and said, “let’s not go”. I repeat that it was hard, really.

“It was understandable. It happened to me. It’s very difficult to make a decision.”

“I love Barcelona, and I am not going to find a better place than here anywhere. Still, I have the right to decide,” Messi added.

Don Jazzy, D’Banj inspired me to go into music – Davido

Nigerian singer and label record owner, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy and D’banj inspired him to go into music.

The star who is also a father of three children made this known in a recent Instagram Live chat with Grammy Museum.

According to him, “Coming from Atlanta and just hanging around them inspired him.

“I remember seeing them with Jay-Z and Kanye West in a room and honestly, they had a lot to do with me wanting to do music even though my father has also been a mentor.”

“In the early stage of my career, I was like a one-man-band. I made the beat for the first single, and equally recorded the song myself.

“I mixed and mastered Dami Duro myself. When I was getting bigger, I could no longer do everything myself.

“Now, I have producers and songwriters who I work with. I now believe in collective efforts.

“The business side of everything is important. Music is just about 30 or 40 per cent,” he said

He further stated that Going back to school helped him to concentrate, adding that it was something he also had to do for his father.

“It wasn’t that I wanted to rebel. I was just in love with music.

“I could not concentrate on something else.

“I was slacking in school and other things I wasn’t supposed to slack in because of my love for music.

“I had to fight for it. It’s what I knew I was destined to do.

“I was learning how to record, so I was slacking in other things. Music took over me,” he added.

Woman makes out with her own father to win £550 on radio game show

A woman made out with her own father on a radio game show to win £550.

In the clip, the  26-year-old Stacey passionately kissed Nick, 49, to trick Australian radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson into believing they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

However, it emerged that the pair were actually father and daughter, leaving everybody feeling stunned and a little bit queasy.

The stunt occurred as Stacey went live on the Kyle and Jackie O Show to play their game ‘Boyfriend or Daddy’, which sees the hosts guess whether the man brought in is their guest’s – you guessed it boyfriend or daddy.

Jackie, who was talking in a studio remotely from Melbourne, explained that they would guess the couple’s relationship by studying their body language and ‘how uncomfortable you might be with certain questions’.

And Stacey and Nick, who shared a peck on the lips as Nick entered the studio, seemed pretty chill, as Stacey said: ‘I have a thing for older guys, Kyle.

‘My dad told me to go find a nice Greek boy, ‘cause I’m a little bit Greek, so I did. They weren’t too impressed at the beginning, but he’s come around. They seem to go fishing and stuff together now.’

The show’s newsreader Brooklyn Ross noted that the pair had been holding hands in the green room, giving further weight to the ruse and then came the uncomfortable questions that would surely root out the liars.

Jackie asked: ‘With your boyfriend, what is your favourite s.e.x.ual position in the bedroom?’

Stacey said: ‘I always go on top. I’m a little bit smaller than him so I kind of don’t like to be smothered, so being on top is definitely the way to go with us.’

After Kyle joked about if she was worried he would have a heart attack, Stacey continued: ‘I think things get better with age, just like a fine wine.’

Nick himself said he liked it ‘underneath’, and when asked about his opinions on oral sex, he said: ‘Yeah… it took a while to get me to come around that way, both giving and receiving.’

His girlfriend/daughter added: ‘I’ve taught him a lot’, with Kyle noting: ‘This could be real weird if it ends up being the father.’

Jackie, who was keeping an eye on the comments on Instagram Live, pointed out that many viewers thought that Stacey and Nick looked very alike, meaning they could be related.

So to determine the truth once and for all, Jackie asked if Stacey and Nick would mind sharing a little kiss – although didn’t want to ‘encourage a pash’ in case they did turn out to be father and daughter.

The pair happily obliged and leaned in not for a peck, but a proper snog – leading to the studio deciding that they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Only for Stacey to reveal: ‘The things we do for money – this is actually my father!’

Kyle and Jackie were stunned, with those outside the studio seen jumping up and down in disbelief.

Stacey laughed: ‘My boyfriend’s going to be mortified’, as Kyle revealed that they had won $1,000 (£548) for tricking them.

People watching on Instagram Live were equally grossed out, with one comment reading: ‘WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE’ and another person writing: ‘For 1k, how desperate can you be?’

All we know is, Christmas dinner at Stacey and Nick’s house this year is going to be hella awkward.

NCAA releases schedule, more updates as international flights resume

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has released a flight schedule, as international flights begin Saturday, September 5.

In a memo signed by the Director-General of the agency, Musa Nuhu, it was noted that incoming flights are only permitted to carry a maximum of 200 passengers.

Nuhu, however, confirmed “there is no limit” on the number of outgoing passengers.

“Kindly note due to the limited number of approved incoming passengers (1,280) allowed daily per each airport, it is not possible to accommodate the requested schedule of airlines.

“Each operator has only one frequency on an approved day of operation irrespective of the capacity of aircraft utilised,” it read.

The approved airlines for international flight schedule include Turkish Airlines, Air Senegal, Virgin Atlantic, Qatar, Africa World Airlines (AWA) Ghana for the Lagos and Abuja airports.

Others include Emirates, British Airways, Ethiopian, Asky, Air Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt Air, Delta, Middle East and Kenya Airways.
